What is your job at SenSat?

Project Engineer - Operations. I plan, capture, process and deliver the data that is required by the client. The best part about this is the data capture phase where we get to go out (sometimes abroad) and fly the drone. I am in charge of that project being delivered on time to the client, and to the highest of standards.

How did you get into what you do?

I joined the military in 2009 and started getting into drones around 2014 where I was blown away by the technology and the prospects of what they could do. After gathering around 300 hours worth of flying hours I wanted a new challenge and I believed the Army could not give me that. So after searching far and wide I stumbled across a cool tech startup which was bursting with energy. After a week of ‘work experience’ I knew straight away I was really well suited to this working environment.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

Office vibe. No day is the same within the SenSat circle - we all bounce off each other in a unique and refreshing way making the working day a pleasure.

Why did you join SenSat?

SenSat is the definition of job satisfaction, something we should all aspire to have. I never thought there was such a thing as ‘the grass is greener,’ however, it is luminous in 59 Rivington Street. As soon as I arrived in the office, I was welcomed honestly and warmly by all and soon made some good friends.

What has been your favourite memory at SenSat?

My favourite memory has got to be my first day as it was in Ibiza. Looking forward to all the experiences SenSat will bring me in the future.

What has been your proudest achievement at SenSat?

I personally have only been here for about a month but being able to enjoy my job and look forward to a Monday.

What’s the coolest thing about the SenSat office?

The coolest thing has to be SenSat happy hour every Friday for drinks and games. Great vibes with some amazing people. We've been guilty of taking the party to the streets on a few occasions when the summer weather is shining down on us. The passers-by love getting a slice of that SenSat feel-good energy.

If you could write a slogan for SenSat, it would read:

Striving for excellence (one of the greatest things about SenSat is we as a company and as individuals are always working on trying to bring the best out of one another.

What country are you from?

England.

Did you go to university? If yes, where to?

What are your interests outside of work? What really excites you?

What really excites you? Keen freefall parachutist during the summer season (life is better at 10,000ft) and a rugby fiend during the winter.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to become an airline pilot. Aviation has always been something that amazed me through life, working in operations you get to work very closely with fellow air users.

What are some things that everyone should try at least once?

Skydiving. It takes a person with a certain mind to jump into the unknown and face their fears.

If you could invite five people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would you choose?

Winston Churchill (how on earth did they plan D-Day), Stan Lee (comic book icon and I'm a massive fan), Micky Flanagan (favourite comedian), Ainsley Harriot (to cook and be weird), Lewis Capaldi (he is pretty funny and can sing incredibly)
