What is your job at SenSat?
Assistant Engineer.
How did you get into what you do?
A bit of spontaneity topped with curiosity - having a background in environmental geography, a desire to understand the world around me and intrigue with drone technology. I simply Googled ‘drone internships’ and came across SenSat, the vision grabbed me and here I am.
What's your favourite thing about your job?
Not being confined to the office. Mixing up the routine and getting outdoors is a massive bonus to being part of the operations team.
Why did you join SenSat?
The initial draw was SenSat's vision -digitising the natural world, enabling computers to understand the world around us- is a challenge that really grabbed my attention. The job role complements my curiosities of the world around me, being outdoors and learning new skills. When coming to the interview the buzz and warmth of everyone made me feel comfortable straight away.
What has been your proudest achievement at SenSat?
Planning and executing proactive data capture for sections of HS2.

What country are you from?
Born in London, half Dutch, half Irish
What are your interests outside of work?
I love being outdoors and active; anything from travelling, hiking, camping to chilling with friends around a bonfire. I’m also a keen swimmer and am looking forward to doing my first open water event later this year.
What are some things that everyone should try at least once?
Sleeping under the stars - It’s not only beautiful but provides a different perspective. And walk barefoot outside. This one I believe should be done as much as possible
If you could travel back to any one point in time, what would it be and why?
The inception of the universe, to see how it all started.
