Sensat welcomes Duncan Kneller as Vice President of Sales

Setting Sensat up for SaaS growth and success

London, UK – 4th May, 2021: Sensat, the leading digital twin technology startup, today announces that Duncan Kneller has joined the company as its Vice President of Sales. In his new role, Duncan will be responsible for leading our Sales department, developing strategic relationships with our clients and partners, and scaling the go-to-market of our common visualisation platform and data products. Duncan will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, James Dean.

“Every day more and more construction firms are entrusting us to make digital replicas of their physical sites to make them more accessible, usable and understandable,” said James Dean, CEO at Sensat. “Duncan brings 20+ years of experience helping companies to digitise across the construction, engineering and infrastructure markets. This experience, combined with his proven success in driving growth and converting change into opportunity from startup, scaleup to corporate environment, injects that invaluable know-how that will help us scale and build trust within a growing customer base.”

Prior to joining Sensat, Duncan spent three years at Oracle, where he had a key leadership role in new business. His appointment follows his 20 year career building high-performance Sales teams, implementing sales strategies and driving growth for cloud-based construction software. From BIW Technologies Ltd, an early-to-market provider of SaaS solutions for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) market, he moved to construction software developer, Aconex that went on to be acquired by Oracle for $1.2 billion in 2017, having successfully brought teams together that exceeded targets year on year.

“Sensat’s mission to provide the civil infrastructure industry with the understanding to build a sustainable world comes at an important time, where construction firms, infrastructure organisations and governments alike are shifting their perspective to how we can build better,” said Kneller. “What really appeals to me about Sensat is getting back to cutting-edge technology and offering people something that they’ve not truly had before—and that’s a real-time, accurate view of their job site. And at Sensat, we’re in a position to give them the tools to act on their new thinking, which is exciting.”
